Caramel, but edgy, the autumn trends in interior design
The calendar summer is over, and most of us have already returned from our vacations. We will be spending more time at home in the coming months.
After an intensive summer, when many of our customers, especially this year, decided to do some serious renovation work, the most pleasant time to decorate and furnish their homes is coming. This is the moment we love most. How we arrange the interiors will make the home cosy, modern or eclectic. Let's see what's new in home-decor trends and how autumn inspires architects and interior designers.
Caramel... pumpkin... plus black additions – warm colours for colder days
In the autumn, it is more pleasant than ever to sit with a hot cup of coffee and grab a piece of freshly-baked cake. And perhaps that's why the colours associated with the culinary world: aromatic cinnamon, golden pumpkin or sweet caramel, are present in the autumn decoration proposals. These colours also go perfectly with black, which has become a permanent part of the portfolio of a fashionable apartment interior.
Black accessories and design elements emphasize the warmth of trendy hues. In modern interiors, they work fantastically well against a dark background (graphite, greens and concrete). Ospel’s collection of Aria sockets and switches for the autumn season of 2020/21 offers black metallic fittings in a brushed anthracite frame. The refined material which was used to make it, combined with a golden decorative frame, fits beautifully in loft and modernist rooms alike.
Boho style and eco affiliations
The second of strong directions of interior design development in the 2020/21 season is undoubtedly the boho style. However, at a time when we all try harder to care for the environment, it has a clear environmental identity. Part of the boho style is a return to the widespread use of potted plants in apartments, bamboo and seagrass wicker furniture and more rounded shapes. Have you noticed that lamp shades made of wicker have made a triumphant return to the shops?
Ecological and boho styles not only work in rooms, but also in the bathroom, giving it a natural, unpretentious character. In bathing rooms, it is already worthwhile to move away from sanitary tiles and try materials such as impregnated wood.
For bathrooms where the effect of natural wood is desired, we offer switches and sockets from the Karo series. Electric sockets with softer shapes and nature-inspired colours can be an ideal solution for those who appreciate originality.
Remember that when designing and arranging interiors, we should pay attention to small elements that give character to the whole space. Electrical sockets and switches must serve us for many years and should fit well with the style we choose for a longer time. Just like furniture, good quality of electrical equipment and its aesthetic qualities will make our apartments enjoyable every day. Not only in the beautiful autumn!
